About the Author
Clayton Mosher received his Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Toronto, and is currently a Professor and Associate Chair in the Department of Sociology at Washington State University Vancouver. He is the author of several books and articles in the areas of inequality in criminal justice system processing, drugs and drug policies, and the impact of prison construction on employment. Besides co-authoring the Second Edition of Drugs and Drug Policy, he co-authored the Second Edition of The Mismeasure of Crime (SAGE, 2012) with Terance Miethe and Timothy Hart.
Scott Akins received his Ph.D. in sociology at Washington State University in 2002 and is currently Associate Professor of Sociology at Oregon State University. His research interests include drug use and policy; immigration, drug use and crime; and the intersection of disadvantage, ethnicity, and crime. His recent work has been published in Justice Quarterly and the Journal of Drug Issues.

Great book, very informative. I should probably mention that it is extremely liberal in its views on drugs, so if your strictly "all drugs are bad" you probably wont agree woth anything in there

Well-Documented Expose of Illogical Drug Laws.

This is a fascinating book that essentially explains in well-documented detail why drug policy in the United States is not working. The author is very well versed in the topic and make a compelling case for the illogical structure of drugs regulations.
