Great read& resource

I read the book and then decided I needed to start the journal! Though I was almost into the 2nd trimester with my 3rd child- I started the journal. It was very easy to jump right in from my current week of pregnancy. This journal helped me pinpoint areas of faith for my pregnancy and delivery. I live how at the end of each chapter there is a tidbit if what is developing in your baby and scriptures that can correlate with that area. The only thing I wish is that I started the journal sooner!

However, it is too early to expect any novel drugs, as the antifungal drug discovery program is in the stage of infancy. The currently available means of combating fungal infections are still weak and clumsy. The application of fungal genomics offers an unparalleled opportunity to develop novel antifungal drugs. Interestingly, several novel antifungal drug targets have already been identified and validated. However, it is too early to expect any novel antifungal drug as drug discovery programs are still in their infancy. In addition to classical and genomic approaches to drug discovery, traditional knowledge derived from natural products and phytomedicine can provide a multitude of alternative modes of combating fungal infection. This book comprises 20 chapters on various aspects pertaining to fungal diseases in human and animals, their reservoir, fungal pathogenesis, their management and recent advances in their treatment. Issues of antifungal drug toxicity, especially nephrotoxicity, are also discussed. The development of resistance in fungal pathogens, including multidrug resistance and its mechanism, is dealt with in two chapters. Diverse diagnostic approaches to fungal infections are also reviewed. The combinational drug strategies used in combating invasive fungal infections are addressed in detail. The management of pulmonary mycoses in stem cell transplantation is also given special focus. Novel antifungal drugs (synthetic and herbal), fungal vaccines, and metabolic pathways as drug targets are discussed in detail in three different chapters. Subsequently the roles of innate immunity, cytokine therapy and immunomodulators in the treatment of fungal infections are elaborated upon. As novel drug delivery systems have a great potential for modifying the pharmacokinetics of medications, the last chapter takes this fact into consideration in its examination of state-of-the-art delivery systems in controlling fungal infections.

A lot to take in.

I thought the book was ok, but I felt it could've ended long before it did. There was a lot of unnecessary drama, and in my opinion, half fleshed out storylines that just made the book longer than it had to be. Some things, like Brandon's PTSD, served no purpose and it got some story time, while Kanielle's father, which was a big issue for her, was never truly resolved in my opinion. I would've much rather seen a meeting between them play out than the other nonsense. The characters, those of which were supposed to be, were likable and dynamic, though I had a tough time with Brandon. The writing was a bit everywhere at some points, but overall wasn't bad. As I've come to expect with every Ancelli novel, the two main characters went through more than their fair share of trials and tribulations and came out better for it in the end. Ancelli is still a growing writer who has made strides in her craft, but I think can still learn that less is sometimes more. However, I give her all the credit in the world for coming up with an original storyline and even more credit for the hero not being a billionaire.

What a story. I anxiously waited for this story. The summary grabbed my attention and held it. Brandon and Kanie went through a lot before they got their happily ever after. Their individual ex-spouses were a pain to deal with. As the saying goes, miracles often come out of mistakes. Fabulous story telling, great character development and minimum grammatical errors. I would highly recommend this story. Bravo to the author. Keep up the good work.

I was given an ARC for an honest review. What can I say about this author other than she writes about real life emotional issues that couples face in their relationships. This book is about so many different emotions and central is the emotion of a love that is all healing. In this book we meet two different couples trying to get pregnant after many miscarriages and the last chance for each. We meet Robert and Kanielle and Maggie and Brandon. These couples are different in many ways but same in their quest for a child. There are ulterior motives thrown in by some in the story. The reader goes through the ups and downs with an outcome that no one expected. I highly recommend this emotional read
